06/07/2012.- Colegio Arenas Gran Canaria will participate in the First Division. On their 25th year celebration, the team returns to the top flight of the LNFS after an 18 year absence.
The club management congratulated "their players, coaches, and fans that for this success achieved with the objective set many seasons ago," particularly since the season 1993/94, the last time they were in the First Division.
"The season performed by Gran Canaria, together with its stable domestic situation, has meant that eighteen years after w can reach the national top flight," said the management, which is putting together the roster for next season.
The club also confirmed that it will retain its identity, Colegios Arenas Gáldar Gran Canaria, which is the name that it will carry around the whole country, while the Juan Vega Mateos pavilion will continue to be the venue for their official matches and training.
