La LNFS y la National Futsal League se alían para crear la LNFS England

Con la renovación de su imagen e identidad corporativa la LNFS England quiere seguir los pasos del modelo LNFS en España, considerada como la mejor Liga del mundo, y desarrollar en Inglaterra una competición más atractiva para sus clubes, de la que puedan disfrutar jugadores, técnicos, medios de comunicación y aficionados.

Con esta sinergia, la LNFS England impulsará el desarrollo del Futsal en Inglaterra, potenciando también el Fútbol Sala base a través de la metodología de trabajo en las categorías inferiores de los clubes y la creación de estructuras profesionales para posicionar la competición en el panorama deportivo inglés, visibilizando el deporte y obteniendo el reconocimiento que se merece con una competición consolidada.

Tras sellar el acuerdo, el presidente de la LNFS, Javier Lozano, comentó: "La LNFS England es un reto apasionante y un nuevo paso en nuestro proyecto para fomentar el crecimiento del Futsal y el modelo ‘Liga’ a nivel mundial. Nuestro objetivo es ayudar a la Liga inglesa a desarrollar el Futsal aportando nuestro Know-how y la experiencia que nos ha permitido convertirnos en el referente mundial”.

Por su parte, Peter Sharples, Director de la NFL, añadió: "La LNFS es la Liga líder a nivel mundial y estamos muy emocionados de formar parte de esta gran familia de Fútbol Sala".

LNFS, the organisation that runs the major professional futsal league in Spain, has today announced a partnership with the National Futsal League in England, a collaboration which will create LNFS England.

LNFS (Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala) was established in 1989, becoming the official organiser of all elite futsal competitions in Spain and the most renowned futsal league in the world. The National Futsal League was established in 2008 and affiliates to the Football Association.

The partnership between both bodies will see the NFL become LNFS England next season, with the ambition to evolve standards of play and club management across English Futsal for the benefit of players, futsal fans, and local communities.

Futsal is a small-sided version of football played on a hard court, smaller than a football pitch and mainly indoors, with similarities to five-a-side football. However, unlike English five-a-side, it is played within floor markings and with a heavier ball with less bounce, so it promotes the development of higher-level ball skills. Renowned footballers from Messi to Neymar and Ronaldo credit futsal as a reason for their success.

With a refreshing new brand identity, LNFS England will look to raise the profile of futsal in England and create a vibrant futsal identity, aided by the LNFS. LNFS England will continue to be run by its clubs, for its clubs, embedded in communities across England.

As the world’s most successful futsal league, LNFS will assist LNFS England in accelerating the development of the English Futsal League, granting it the recognition it deserves in the English sporting landscape.

LNFS England will replicate the tried and tested Spanish model for development of futsal across all English communities, looking to introduce futsal to a wider audience, and engaging children and adults from all walks of life.

Within the partnership LNFS will lend its expertise, advising on futsal competition organisation and management plus effective marketing and communications.

The partnership will also focus on improving the communities where futsal takes place, often in inner-cities, by looking to develop grassroots sporting collaborations, encouraging change at a local level, and adding significant value to lives and communities.

President of LNFS, Javier Lozano said: “LNFS England is an exciting challenge and a new step in our project to promote the growth of Futsal and the 'League' model worldwide. Our goal is to help the English League develop Futsal by contributing our know-how and the experience that has allowed us to become the world leader”.
